As many people seem to feel the need to write articles about the perfect desktop as if it were some sort of one size fits all scenario, I decided I would rather write specifically about what I like (which is what everyone else does any way) but I wanted to be upfront about the limitations of this article. Also, as I have recently moved away from using GNOME, my preferred desktop set-up may offer some ideas to others that are contemplating making a desktop switch.

Libre Office is one of the most exciting forks currently in the open source world. I believe that statement so strongly that I have even put my money where my mouth is and financially contributed to this project. That said, I'm concerned they are preparing to perpetuate the same errors that OOo was making with respect to bad UI design and poor marketing.
RECENT PRODUCTIVITY HEADLINES
Now there are plenty of sites that have posted their top 10, top 16, top 25, even their top 50 themes for GNOME, but some how their lists always include the same designs over and over. The goal here is to look at some newer and/or forgotten themes, some interesting combinations fom preexisting themes, and some inclusions of original work to provide a reason to look at these themes.
